Northern Vienna Woods: Kahlenbergdorf – climb to Leopoldsberg (420m, ca. 250m/750ft uphill) – beautiful view over Vienna – downhill, through woods, to Klosterneuburg, guided tour of the Monastery of the Augustiner canonry (highlights are the cloister in Gothic style and the Verdun Altar, a masterpiece of medieval art, consisting of 51 enamelled and gilded plaques showing scenes from the Old and New Testament). 4 hours (max.); the trip can be made in your bus or by public transport.

Southern Vienna Woods: Moedling – walk through the medieval town of the Babenberger dynasty – church of St. Othmar and bonehouse in Romanesque style – hike through vineyards and woods to Gumpoldskirchen, traditional wine growing village on the foothills of the Vienna Woods – visit to a typical wine tavern (Heuriger). 4 hours (max.); the trip can be made in your coach or by public transport.

On the tracks of Ludwig van Beethoven, Doebling and Heiligenstadt: Heiligenstadt – Wertheimsteinpark – Eroica Haus – Heiligenstaedter Park – Heiligenstaedter Platz – Probusgasse (place where Beethoven wrote the so-called ‚Heiligenstaedter Testament’) – Beethovengang – Nussdorf. Ca. 2 ½ hours. Visit in a typical wine tavern (Heuriger) possible; the trip can best be made by public transport.

Cemeteries – cultural and contemplative walks over historic burial grounds – commemorating famous people (composers, poets, painters etc.)
